The process of making paper

2021-09-26

The first step is pulping. If you use trees and grass to make paper, you must first chop the trees and grass, then steam it in a large pot until it is rotten, and then put the steamed liquid (professional called pulp) out of the pot.
Then the pulp is passed through special equipment to be more rotted by the fibers in the pulp. Next, the pulp is treated with screening equipment, then bleached, and the pulp is washed.
Our work here is called "Pulping" professionally.
To sum it up, it is: shredding-cooking-grinding-screening-bleaching-washing.
The second step is papermaking. The processed pulp is screened and slag removed again (note: the screening equipment here is not shared with the screening equipment in the pulping section).
Since the pulp coming from the pulping workshop is relatively thick, it is necessary to dilute the pulp to a consistency of about 0.8%.
At this time, the processed pulp passes through the pipeline and is sprayed onto the surface of the net (called "forming wire" in professional terms) through special equipment (called "headbox" in professional terms).
There is a vacuum box on the back of the net to constantly absorb the water in the net, so that the liquid pulp is slowly absorbed into wet paper with a certain strength. The wet paper is then squeezed by a special roller (professionally called "press roller").

Finally, it is pasted on the cylinder surface of many large iron steels (called "drying cylinders in professional terms) and is completely dried and rolled into large rolls. The large rolls of paper rolls are further rolled on the rewinding machine into finished paper that meets customer requirements.
